Hello,

I use Shorewall with a Mandrake 9.2 distribution in version 1.4.6c.

The problem is that for this kernel (the last one: 2.4.22-21mdk), the modules
are called <name>.o.gz and that the firewall script from the shorewall
package, when it controls that the modules to load exist, only tests the
files in /lib/modules/2.4.22-21mdk/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter
(/lib/modules/<kernel version>/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter) whose name matches
<name>.o, <name>.gz or <name>.ko.

The line 2697 which is
for suffix in o gz ko ; do

should be
for suffix in o o.gz gz ko ; do

Cheers
